Summative assessment: 

 

Health campaign in school.

Our Grade 2 students managed to pull it together and made it a successful event for the whole school by running their own health campaign.

They explained their understanding on what they’ve researched and learned from this unit. Among the topic they covered were on:

Bones , heart, eating healthy, exercising, teeth, cleanliness and water.

Well done!!!!

UOI 5 – Materials

Central Idea: Materials behave and interact in certain ways, which determine how people use them.

Key concept: Form, Function and Change

Lines of Inquiry:

1. Properties of materials and its changes.

2. Inventions that impact people’s life.

3. Manipulation and application of materials to new

purposes.

 

Summative assessment 

Students are making an object that they need the most in some places such as: jungle,beach, floating house, island and mountain. They have to make something that they will need to survive at that place and keeping in mind that they can only use the materials that they can find around that particular place. 

In presentation, students will be required to explain the situation at that place , what materials can they find around that place and explain how important is the object that they make for people to survive. 

 

It’s interesting to see them making their items. Let’s wait and see what they’ve got!

 FIELD TRIP

Field trip to Royal Selangor – students learned about other materials, mainly pewter and its processes.

Not only that, they also had a chance to learn about the history of pewter and how it’s made.
