Differentiation Policy

This week CPD we had a sharing and discussion on the policies that we can come up with differentiation. We had a group work where we were told to list down as many policy with the reference from the PYP handbook subtopic: Programme standards and practices with requirement of the Primary Years Programme.

There were many questions raised from this topic as we were coming up with policies that we should have in the school. However, from this discussion I have learned about the different challenges and changes that should be done for differentiation to take place. All we have been doing in the school is by taking the students out of the class and they seem to have lack of inclusive learning, when we should be promoting this specially for students with difficulties. There should be a way to integrate differentiation and inclusion happening simultaneously. It is understandable that this will require a long time of planning because we need two different individual with structured single lesson every day.
